REFERENCES FROM NATIONAL LIBRARY OF LATVIA

“Castle of Light” – the National Library of Latvia is a centre of culture, science and education of national significance.

It creates and maintains the national and global literature stock ensuring free accessibility of it and fosters creative use thereof.

The library was founded in 1919, and since 2014 it is located in a building, designed by the internationaly renowned Latvian architect Gunnar Birkerts. In 18th january, 2014., more than 14 000 persons take part in great public action – “Way of Light”.

Books have been mooved “from hand to hand” from old to new Library building.

DEPULVERA made a great backstage job to proceed this festivity. All books were cleaned before they start movement to new home.

At the moment machine is working in cleaning and disinfection section of new Library
